   Underground Sounds - My Radio Show   

Oscar: Hello, this is Under Ground Sounds coming to you tonight, I'm here today with Yusuf Yellow, how are we today?

Yusuf: Alright man, yeah I'm doing good, yourself?

Oscar: Yeah I'm well, I'm well. So tell us a bit about yourself and your music.

Yusuf: Cool, Im Yusuf Yellow, was born and raised in Essex but came down to Sheffield for uni, was one of the best choices for my music. I rap over chill lofi beats, guess you could call it Chill Hop Rap.

Oscar: That sounds nice man, if I have it right you're playing a live set for us here tonight right?

Yusuf: Yeah man, I'll do my thing for you later on.

Oscar: Sounds good to me, so what have you been up to recently?

Yusuf: Been chilling man, gigging a lot, trying to get my name out. Many projects yet to come.

Oscar: I like that, the strive for young success

Yusuf: Guess so man, just tryna have fun aswell.

Oscar: I feel that, what made you get into music?

Yusuf: The love for it man, growing up on the dark Hip-Hop like Wu-Tang, Mos Def, all them lot. I like it but I couldn't voice myself off as a streets drug lord, or a violent being, had to find my real voice on who I am, I like being peaceful, talking my real truth on life and my experiences.

Oscar: Deep man, very deep but that's where its at with lyricism and poetry.

Yusuf: Thats it.

Oscar: So, you ready for your live set?

Yusuf:100% let's do it.

Oscar: Moving over to the studio now, and if you're just tuning in, we have the young Yusuf Yellow for you here tonight for a live set.

Oscar: Man, that was a super chill one for us and all the listeners tonight

Yusuf:You think so?

Oscar: Definitely, got us all laid back man.

Yusuf: Haha, glad you liked it man, always love playing chill sets.

Oscar: It's a shame we can't have more, that went too quick.

Yusuf: I mean I have one more, unreleased. Been working with a very young artist for what these doing under the name Lost Oz.

Oscar: How old we talking?

Yusuf: 17, already gigging and releasing stuff.

Oscar: Jheez man, so what you saying then, can we hear it?

Yusuf: ahhh, yeah go for it.

Yusuf: This next song is an unreleased song, called Sippin' Tea, its about how life can crawl up on you unexpectedly, also how girls can bring you down. Every time me and Oz work together were always sipping tea so what better way to use that.

L03: Planning Ideas

For my radio show I want ideas such as, a talk show, am interview with an artist, a live performance with an artist. My radio show will be a music show, I have some ideas of names such as; Underground Sounds or Young Sounds, this will promote music of young artists and the new sounds they're creating for the Sheffield music scene, I will have a call in segment of the show where someone can call in and tell us what they think about the music and even a give away to the lucky number that I picked up to answer. The prize being something like free tickets to a gig of the artist playing on that specific show, or even a free poster of one of the bands. For my jingle I have ideas such as a really delayed voice of the name of the show, over some dreamy guitar chords with slow drums, or even just guitar so that the jingle doesn't sound over whelming and too busy/difficult to listen to. The genre I will be set towards on the show will be slack rock/jazz punk fusion as I make this style of music and also know friends that make this type of music so it will be easy to have the background music accompanied on the show and also
